SARNZ Conference is set to be in Wellington on the 23rd and 24th of September 2026. 

Job of the Year Awards

SARNZ is pleased to announce the opening of the Job of the Year Awards for 2026. 

The objective is to celebrate New Zealand’s excellence in the field of Scaffolding, Access and Rigging by identifying projects that demonstrate efficiency, cost effectiveness, application of sustainability principles, aesthetics, best practice, outstanding teamwork, great safety management and innovation.

This is restricted to Scaffolding, Access and Rigging jobs undertaken by SARNZ members. The project featured in your submission must have been completed during the period July 2025 to end of June 2026

There are six categories:

  • Stand-alone residential home Job of the Year
  • Enclosed Scaffold Job of the Year (Could be Shrinkwrap, Kedar or other product)
  • Commercial Job of the Year
    • $0 - $50k (Light commercial)
    • $50 - $200k
    • $200k +
  • Industrial Job of the Year
    • $0 - $50k
    • $50 - $200k
    • $200k +
  • Rigging Job of the Year
  • Industrial Rope Access Job of the Year

We will also have an Overall Job of the Year winner. 

This is your opportunity to showcase exceptional workmanship, innovation, and safety practices within our industry. Whether it's a challenging construction project, a creative access solution, or a rigging masterpiece, we want to hear about it.

Training Company of the Year Award

At SARNZ (Scaffolding, Access, and Rigging NZ), we aim to recognize the exemplary efforts and contributions of training companies that have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the development and advancement of professionals in the scaffolding, access, and rigging industry. The Training Company of the Year award celebrates organizations that exhibit excellence in their training programs, curriculum development, innovation, and commitment to safety standards. Trainee of the Year Award

The Trainee of the Year award recognizes individuals who have shown exceptional dedication, skill, and professionalism in their pursuit of excellence in the field of scaffolding, access, and rigging. We are seeking nominees who have demonstrated outstanding performance in their training programs, displayed a strong commitment to safety practices, exhibited exemplary technical proficiency, and shown leadership potential within their teams or organizations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of going above and beyond expectations, continuously seeking opportunities for growth and development, and serving as an inspiration to their peers. The Trainee of the Year recipient will embody the highest standards of professionalism and serve as a role model for future generations of industry professionals.
