SARNZ issues Certificates of Competence (CoC) for Scaffolding in accordance with the Health and Safety in Employment Regulations 1995. Find out how the qualifications and types of work relate to Certificates of Competence.

View all active and inactive Certificate of Competence holders. You can search by name or CoC number.
If you receive a "No Result" or an error, please contact the SARNZ office before taking any action.
Apply for a New Full Certificate of Competence
This application is for people that have never had a CoC, their card has expired or if they are upgrading the level of their ticket
Cost: $127 incl courier
You can pay with card or invoice.
Renew your Full Certificate of Competence
This application is for people that have a valid CoC they wish to renew at the same level.
Cost: $92.50 incl courier
You can pay with card or invoice.
Order a Replacement CoC Card
If you've lost your CoC Card, you can order a new one.
Cost: $55 incl courier
You can pay with card only.
Make a Complaint about a Certificate of Competence holder or SARNZ member company
You can make a complaint about a Certificate of Competence holder or SARNZ member company. You will need to provide details and evidence supporting the claim. If you have an urgent safety concern please call the SARNZ office on 021 473 135.
