National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) has formed a strategic partnership with Bunnings Trade who will be the new National Principal Sponsor for the next 12-month period. This partnership is a significant development that underscores their commitment to supporting women in trades.

“We’re pleased to welcome Bunnings Trade as our Principal Sponsor and to be working more closely with their team. We’re excited to see the impact both our organisations will have on driving awareness for better equity in our industry and promoting the Trades as an appealing career for women.” Stacey Mendonça, NAWIC.

A key initiative under this partnership is the Future Leader Awards for Women in Trades, designed to honor emerging female leaders and equip them with resources to flourish and motivate others.

From 8th March to 4th April, Bunnings Trade encourages individuals to nominate a deserving female tradie who shows potential to be a future leader in the industry, for a chance to win valuable career-supporting grants. In 200 words or less tell us about your future leader for their chance to win 1 of 3 grants worth $7,500 to support their trade career.

The 3 prize packs, valued at over $7,500, include $5000 of Bunnings gift cards, a 12-month mentorship and NAWIC membership, providing access to a support network of other women in the trade and construction industry. An AEG 18V FUSION Brushless 6-Piece 5.0Ah FORCE Kit and an AEG Quickstack 2.0 3-Piece Storage Set, valued at $1,998. As well as a $400 Hard Yakka gift card to spend on work wear.
